‘Unlocking Hong Kong Trail’ Hiking Challenge
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Hong Kong Trail, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) organises the “Unlocking Hong Kong Trail” Hiking Challenge during the 2025-26 hiking season, to encourage the public to hike through Hong Kong Trail, discover its rich and diverse scenery, biodiversity, and history.
The event compromises eight checkpoints, with one checkpoint in every section of Hong Kong Trail, showcasing their unique features. Participants should register at the event website, read through the Event Information, and plan their visits to Hong Kong Trail base on their fitness and hiking experience. To “unlock” the checkpoints and collect e-badges, participants should answer a question about the fun facts of Hong Kong Trail by scanning the QR code at the checkpoint panels using their mobile phones (with location services turned on).
Participants will be awarded a set of 8 commemorative pin badges and a towel if they have collected all 8 e-badges within the event period. The number of prizes is limited and while stocks last.
