Country Park Hiking and Planting Day 2026
The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, in collaboration with the Friends of Country Parks, will organise the Hiking and Planting Day on two Sundays in April 2026. Members of the public are welcome to take part in the activity.
Registration:
The activity is free of charge and no prior registration is required. Participants should register and collect seedlings at the registration point between 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on the activity day. Planting tools will be provided. Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis due to site constraints and limited availability of seedlings. If all seedlings are given out, participants are welcome to join the hiking activity.
Protect Our Countryside, Take Your Litter Home:
To protect our countryside, remember to practice “Hiking Etiquette” and “Take Your Litter Home”. Please reduce waste, reuse and recycle materials during the hiking and planting activity. These simple habits make a great contribution to our natural environment.
